About Feefee Runner
My name is Refilwe Motabogi, popularly known as Feefee Runner #KeepingUpWithTheRunner. I am a 29-years-old Dj from Pudimoe, in the North West Province of South Africa. I currently balance my life between Johannesburg and my hometown, building my name in the music and entertainment industry through my passion for music, determination and commitment to my craft.
My journey as a DJ began four years ago when I realised that there were no female DJs in my hometown. I decided to take the initiative, learn the skill, sharpen my craft and build my brand.
As the first female DJ in my hometown, I am proud to represent women in the DJ industry and inspire others to pursue their passions regardless of the challenges they may face. My journey reflects courage, consistency and a willingness to step into spaces where women are still making their mark.
I specialise in private piano, soulful piano and commercial piano, bringing my own energy and musical selection to my performances. While continuing to develop my sound and skills, I hope to explore other genres in the future and expand my versatility as a DJ.
Throughout my journey, I have performed at events in my hometown, including Sphere Annual Festival, All White Experience and the FFB Annual Event, as well as other major local events. These opportunities have contributed to my growth and experience as a performer.
A recent milestone in my journey was being featured in the North West Times as its "Woman Crush Wednesday". The feature, titled "#WomenCrushWednesday: Refilwe 'Feefee Runner' Motabogi," highlighted my journey in the music industry and my growing brand as a DJ. This recognition represents an encouraging moment in my journey as I continue to build my profile and pursue greater opportunities.
Beyond music, I am a student at AAA School of Advertising. My studies complement my creative ambitions and provide me with knowledge that can support my personal brand and professional growth.
Although I have performed at significant events in my hometown, my vision extends beyond familiar ground. One of my biggest dreams is to perform at major events in other cities, reach new audience and continue growing my presence in the South African music scene.
My journey is about passion, growth, breaking barriers and creating unforgettable experiences through music. Guided by my motto, "Just start and keep moving," I believe in taking opportunities, remaining consistent and continuing to work towards my dreams.
